Being Able to Talk to the UZO President

It was wonderful to have got a chance to talk to our nampi's president yesterday. I am here to highlight some of the conversations we have had. The time was 8:53 am - 9:20 am United States Central Standard Time.

The first part of the conversation was all about introducing myself to him. He told me that he knew me pretty well as I was introduced by his Finance Secretary. I congratulate him and his party for the grand victory which was followed by some questions of my concern.

1. "We will revive and strengthen our education policy" was his first and foremost response when asked about the UZO policies ahead. He was of the opinion to open up a high school in Behiang village. The Zou Gaal memorial school came to the limelight and I asked about it. And, he told me that was a government undertaking. I told him that I like the name.

2. On the restoration front of the Zou diaspora, he was of the opinion to restore all of them as soon as possible. My suggestion was to restore only who is/are ready - The Mates from Thadou, the Samtes from Paites, the Suantaks from Vaipheis, the Lianzaws from Thangkhal, and many others to the Zou fold. [This will need to redefine our "Zou ham zangte leh Zou tawndan zuite khu Zou ahi"].

3. He is a man of action. As promised during his campaign, he has initiated the rebuilding (actually demolishing the old one) our Zou Innpi. He sought for our people's participation in order to have a sense of ownership. It was really a democratic principle - of the people, for the people, and by the people. What's that? It's the Zou Innpi, Zou nampi, and Zou mipi - of the people, for the people, and by the people.

4. On the UZO block and unit expansion level, he was of the opinion to inaugurate the UZO, Delhi Block shortly. He told me every existing block and unit - thriving and just existing (at the ICU) blocks and units ought to be revived. To this end, their actions every nook and corner of our Zoland has been heard, seen and witnessed.

5. Coming to his foreign policy, he was willing, able and ready to accept my humble suggestion to coordinate and collaborate with our people around the globe. Presently, Zo/Zou organizations have been established in three countries - the United Zou Organization in India, the United Zo Organization in the United States and the Malaysia Zo Organization in Malaysia. He expressed his suggestion for the Malaysia Zo Organization to think about changing it to United Zo Organization, having a common name UZO as the others do in India and the USA.

6. On the delegation level, he was so excited to be able to represent the UZO, India anywhere in the world. Currently, chances are that the UZO, India can invite them to delegate the UZO, USA and the MZO (UZO), Malaysia, and vice versa at the Zou Ton. On this front, there are prospective countries where the UZO can be founded now and in times to come, such as Israel, Canada, Australia, Korea, European Countries, and many more countries. If this should be done, we will be able to represent around the globe in the future. This could be done, and it should be done.

7. My humble apology to him was his invitation to join/observe the UZO Delhi inauguration. I wish I could, but time and space hinders my motion and availability. He invited me to share some thoughts and things about UZO, USA and bring a spectrum of experiences and ideas to the said inauguration.

8. He asked me to send out his greetings to all the Zous around the globe and expressed his enthusiasm to join hand-in-hand with us all. He expects all of us to do the best of what we can – at work, studies, career, and for our nampi. UZO President pa'n leitung mun tuomtuom a Zo/Zou umte zousie greetings ang thot hi ee.
